Calling Bollywood , Seeing Bollywood!!

"Saar director Very intelligent, all in mind” Subra responded.
A satire to culture of Bollywood film making, which has a different approach, with a great output & a large audience waiting in a queue to get themselves into day dreaming. Either it be  a romance, fiction, sci-fi or anything. We have people to make it and have people to buy it.
Mr. Nagesh Kuknoor from “Hyderabad blues” to “Aasheyien” made a great remark to the conceptualize the sensitivity of things which occurs in daily life but we ignore. I say “BOLLYWOOD CALLING” is up to it showing The Giant life of BOLLYWOOD itself.
Looking into the terms of story structure , it followed the nested approach FILM WITHIN FILM , A NEW LIFE WITHIN LIFE keeping a subtle differences in between , so that the film made by NAGESH KUKNOOR and film made by Mr. SUBRAMANYAM starring MANU KAPOOR draw demarcation.
Instances in a Story were very general, generic: SALIM KHAN(dialogue writer in the film "MAUT-the Death”) maintained a kurta get up with a average length beard plus an attitude of a writer, as being asked to weight the dialogue he says" main tumse pyar karti hu" slowly. First Assistant camera man always comes early to set. TARA second heroine in the film "MAUT-the death" kept at bay in sense of importance, only defined for dance and some romance flicks. MANU KAPOOR keeps the strength of attitude, respect beyond his peak and gives shots with no retakes and even sometimes being judgmental on camera angles. All this detailed nuances made the film entertaining and connecting to us.
Overall an entertaining and informative film with the end in song "sajni main tera deewana ..." sung by PAT  in "MAUT-the death" and Mr Udit Narayanan in  “BOLLYWOOD CALLING”.



NIGHT AND FOG







The  Documentary  “NIGHT & FOG “ revolves around the Hitler’s concentration camp mainly aim to curb the so called “undesirable elements” as Jews, criminals & homosexuals according to Nazi’s. Himmler took over the power under Fuhrer to look after it and  created the camp which resulted in the most inhuman atrocities ever done in the world history.
Director ALAIN RESNAIS , narrator MICHEAL BOUQUET composed one of the most horrifying and naked truth of the history which can’t be ignored in any sense. The camera takes us on the color footage in the beginning  and slowly moves around the black and white footage that overpowers  sadism context in the film. In parallel  it  explained the context of the gradual rise in Nazi ideology and how it became so inhuman with time resulting in harsh torture, prostitution, medical & scientific misuse on humans , finally landed to insensate mass obliteration . The film ends itself showing the color footage greenery , which stands lonely today as this is the place which was the  single graveyard of thousands innocent civilians.
Documentary rolls on pictures and some videos rarest of the time, 1933-1945, with excellent background score and satirist narration , keeps the track of sensitive footage  comparatively low in beginning and becoming intense as it reaches the 21st minute of its truth. At the end MICHEAL BOUQUET asks “who is responsible?
